Seed Rate
•Seed rate of sugarcane varied in different method of planting.
• For bud chip raised settlings and poly bag method 8-10 and 15- 20 quintal of seed cane setts will be required.
• For flat and trench method 42000 to 45000 three bud setts (approx 50 – 60 q/ha) would be sufficient to plant a hectare of land.
• However, 60000 to 65000 three bud setts (70-75 q/ha) would be required for paired row planting.
