Features:
• Straight green colour stalk which turns light purple on exposure, cylindrical medium size internodes with swollen wax band, small oval bud with indicated bud groove, green leaf sheath with purple tinge, scanty deciduous spines with loose clasping, medium broad green leaves having ascending carriage, two deltoid auricles, dirty green rectangular transverse mark.
• Suitable for all types of soil in Bihar and can tolerate salinity up to some extent.
• Produces an average cane yields of 80.0 t/ha with sucrose in juice of 16.90 %.
• Resistant to major diseases and has low incidence of insect –pests.
• Ready for harvest since first week of January.
