Features:
• The variety is characterized by erect stool habit with cylindrical medium long to long medium thick to thick cylindrical internodes, unexposed part green and exposed part purple, medium to large size triangular O vate bud with bud greeve, absence of growth splits, light geen to green bread leaves with scandy purple patches, one big lanceoolate and other dentoid auricles, semi dropping to drooping carriage.
• It gives and average yield of 88.0 tonnes per hectare with and average sucrose in juice of 17.62%.
• The variety due to have cylindrical internodes and purple colour cane have aesthetic value and so it has been identified as garden cane to be used on the occasion of festival especially on chhatha.
